Important information about licensing courses
New Licensed Electrical Inspectors 'L & G Class' Course. As of the 1st of July, 2007 the 'L & G Class' Licensed Electrical Inspector's Assessment will be broken up into three (3) individual assessments.
Those being:
- Licensed Electrical Inspectors Theory (LEIT) (L & G Class License)
- Licensed Electrical Inspectors (Safe Approach) (L & G Class License) - 1 hour assessment
- Licensed Electrical Inspectors Practical (LEIP) (G Class License) - 2.5 hour assessment
All assessments relevant to the ‘L & G Class’ licenses are conducted by EPIC Industry Training Board on behalf of Energy Safe Victoria (ESV).
On successful completion of LEIT & LEI (Safe Approach) components of the Licensed Inspectors Electrical Course and the passing of both licensing assessments, the candidate will be:
- eligible to apply for the 'L Class' Electrical Inspector license, and
- issued the VBP 452 Unit of Competence relevant to the 21676VIC - Certificate IV in Electrical Inspection
On successful completion of all components of the Licensed Electrical Inspectors Course, and the passing of both licensing assessments, the candidate will be:
- eligible to apply for the 'G Class' Electrical Inspectors license, and
- issued the VBP452 & VBP453 Units of Cempetence relevant to the 21676VIC - Certificate IV in Electrical Inspection
