Our star Printing Apprentice Steven Hutchinson won two awards at RMITs Printing Industry Training Awards ceremony on 2 June 2010.
Steve was the winner of the inaugural Media Super Award, which is provided to a final year apprentice who has demonstrated outstanding commitment and aptitude in their chosen trade.
To top it off, Steve also won the Apprentice Scholarship Award, specifically for the Flexographic Printing sector. This award recognizes the top apprentice that has been nominated due to outstanding study and has been granted $1500 upon successful completion of his apprenticeship as a reimbursement of his school fees.
John Taufer, Steve’s 370˚ field officer is very proud of his apprentice who he has been mentoring for 3 ½ years and states, “Steve has always been a delight to work with. He is very dedicated to his trade and is a great asset for his host business, Croyovac. Steve’s commitment will see him go very far.”
