Jason Bryan recently completed his electrical apprenticeship with tastec group training. His list of achievements are a true testament to his work ethic, positive attitude and dedication to his chosen career.
Not only has Jason taken out tastec group training's apprentice of the year award 4 years running, he also won the Skills Tasmania State Apprentice of the Year in 2010, followed by the prestigious Australian Apprentice of the Year at the Australian Training Awards in Sydney on Friday 19th November 2010.
Throughout his younger years, Jason was always curious about being an electrician. "That got me into it and I think I chose the right industry," Jason said. "There is such a demand for it, it is ridiculous".
During his apprenticeship, Jason engaged in additional schooling where he undertook both trade specific and business related training to broaden his knowledge which added to his list of achievements. He is currently completing a Diploma in Business Management.
After attending the “Today's Skills Tomorrow’s Leaders Program” in Canberra, Jason was able to develop self confidence and an insight into personal and professional development to assist him with his win.
BSH Electrical hosted Jason for the full term of his apprenticeship. Having now taken up a full time position with BSH Electrical, he has been exposed to project management and supervisory roles usually reserved for trades-people with years of experience. This is a tribute to his skills, ability and positive attitude.
"Jason has been very successful, winning various awards and we acknowledge his skills, attitude and commitment to the trade", HR Manager Leon Dixon shares.
Jason was very appreciative of the support and guidance he received from tastec group training, BSH Electrical and The Skills Institute during his apprenticeship and encourages all who are interested in taking up a trade apprenticeship to 'get in and give it a go'.
Gary Vidler, Operations Manager of tastec group training stated that this is an outstanding outcome for Jason and both tastec group training and BSH Electrical are very proud of his achievements.
"Jason is a remarkable young man and a very deserved winner. Throughout his apprenticeship his work ethic was second to none and he sought additional training to further develop his knowledge which has clearly benefited him, he should be very proud of his achievement," shares Simone Grearman, Jason's field officer.
Together with BSH Electrical, we congratulate Jason on this outstanding and memorable success.
