indigenous employment program

370˚ group have been successful in gaining another Indigenous Employment Program (IEP) contract with the Australian Government.  This means we are now in the process of placing 10 indigenous people into apprenticeships and traineeships by the end of 2010.  The employment pathways will focus on electrical, plumbing, IT and business administration as these are the 370˚ core streams and industry areas where potential long term careers are built.

370˚ group have 6 indigenous apprentices/trainees currently undertaking employment and training programs across Melbourne and 25 indigenous candidates have completed their apprenticeship or traineeship since 2005. 

2009 – Diane Flemming won the NAIDOC Achievement Award (Business Administration trainee)
2007 – Robert Taylor won the NAIDOC Encouragement Award (Lineworker apprentice)
2008 & 2009 - 370˚ group won the NAIDOC Employer of the Year award
