Purpose
The role of the Information Technology ASbA is to work with a host employer in the industry in a technical support role.

370˚ traineeships are offering an Information Technology ASbA program for secondary students.
ASbA’s are employed by 370˚ traineeships for a period of 15 months and leased to a host employer within the Information Technology industry for their on-the-job experience. To fulfil the requirements of the ASbA students are required to complete 1 day per week with the host employer & structured training. These hours are part of their school timetable and can be averaged over the term of the contract.
Upon successful completion of training with the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and completion of the on-the-job employment ASbA’s will be issued with a Certificate III in Information Technology as well as having 15 months hands-on experience in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the role will be dependent on the nature of the host employer’s business and may include the following:
Assisting with help-desk duties:
- trouble shooting
- receiving and tracking help desk calls
- installing/ uninstalling software
Assisting with computer hardware and software:
- new computer roll outs
- building and maintaining computers
- re-imaging
Customer service:
- logging and tracking customer queries
- research and follow-up of customer issues
Important Information:
- Candidates will be contacted for interview
- ASbA's will be placed with a host employer in the industry
- ASbA's MUST work 1 day per week
- ASbA's are required to attend compulsory workshops during school holidays
- Workshops will be held at the Registered Training Organisation
