Purpose
370° traineeships offers Australian School-based Apprenticeships (ASbA's) in the area of Children’s Services. The ASbA works with host employers in the industry in a support role.
Program Context
An ASbA allows students to complete their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) whilst completing a Nationally Recognised Qualification and gaining valuable hands-on experience.
The ASBA is integrated into the student’s schooling and may contribute to their VCE/VCAL.
370° traineeships in conjunction with Gowrie Victoria (RTO) are offering a Children’s Services ASbA program for secondary school students.
ASbA’s are employed by
370° traineeships for a period of 12 months and leased to a host employer within the Children’s Services industry for their on-the-job experience.
To fulfill the requirements of the ASbA, students are required to complete 1 day per week with the host employer and attend structured training. The hours are part of their school timetable and can be averaged over the term of the contract.
Upon successful completion of training with Gowrie Victoria and completion of the on-the-job employment, ASbA’s will be issued with a Certificate III in Children’s Services as well as having 12 months hands on experience in the industry.
